Havoc at The Hollow Invitational
3rd/4th Grade Rules and Information
1. Players must be enrolled in 3rd or 4th grade during the current school year to be eligible to participate in this age group.
2. Weigh restrictions and rules:
· Each player will weigh in prior to their first game
· There is no overall weight limit for this tournament
· 110 lbs and under will be allowed to play any position
· Over 110 lbs will only be allowed to play offensive/defensive line (tackle to tackle only)
· No weight restrictions on FG/extra point attempts but may not advance ball if over weight limit.
· Any player weighing over 110 lbs. will have a stripe placed on their helmet. Any player with said stripe will not be allowed to advance the ball. Play will be dead at the point of possession.
3. Five player maximum rush on pass plays. If the QB goes outside the tackles, anyone can attempt to tackle the QB.
4. A continuous clock will be implemented if any lead reaches 30 points.
5. Playing rules: All games shall be played under National Federation of State High School Athletic Association rules with the following exceptions:
· Extra points worth 1 point if scoring via run or pass. “Live” PAT kicks worth 2 points. (Live=Live on whistle, ball with holder. No snap).
· No punts allowed. 30 yards of field possession will be provided with a 10 second run off. No punt can move the ball inside the opposing team’s 20 yard line. However a punt can move a team TO the 20 yard line. All other special teams will be done normally.
POOL PLAY
1. Games will consist of 4 ten-minute quarters, with a running clock and five-minute halftime. Two timeouts per team, per half.
2. Players may only participate in one age division in the tournament.
3. One coach is allowed on the field for offense and defense but may not communicate after the snap.
4. Coaches: Head coach and maximum 4 assistant coaches on the sidelines.
5. Use of any two-way radios or electronic communication devices of any kind between player/player, player/coach, or coach/coach is prohibited.
3rd/4th Grade Havoc at The Hollow Invitational Schedule

Championship Game
1. All teams will play at Hatchet Hollow on Sunday afternoon. Championship schedule will be distributed with the tournament schedule on the Tuesday prior.
2. Games will consist of 4 eight-minute quarters with a 5-minute halftime. 3 timeouts per team, per half. Normal game clock.

Weigh-Ins
Player weigh-ins will be performed at Hatchet Hollow at least one hour prior to each team’s first scheduled game on Saturday. Weigh-ins will take place at the equipment shed.
Waivers
Parent/player waiver should be emailed to Jeff Lemon at [email protected] by the Tuesday prior to the tournament. The original document must be provided to the tournament workers during weigh-ins. Waivers can be found at playyouthfootball.com.
Rosters
Please provide a typed or clearly legible separate roster sheet listing jersey numbers in order with player’s last names. This will help with announced games and trophy presentations. Please email Jeff Lemon at [email protected]
Havoc at the Hollow Invitational Information:
1. $6.00 gate fee for each day of tournament or $10.00 for weekend pass. Children 12 and under are free.
2. Players, Head Coach, and 4 assistant coaches get free admission.

7. PLAY CLOCK WILL BE IN EFFECT.
8. Game times are EASTERN STANDARD TIME ZONE.
9. Cheerleaders are allowed.
10. Onsite concessions will be provided by Washington Youth Football.
11. Roster, parent liability/verification waiver and school official verification forms should be submitted to Jeff Lemon, Tournament Director, at [email protected].
12. All Championship games will be played at Washington High School Hatchet Hollow.
13. There will be a WYFL board member on site. If you have a question for a board member, please ask a tournament worker to location the on-site board member for you.
